Team learning & development
Support staff play a hugely important role at Langdon. Therefore, it’s fundamental that they feel a valuable and engaged member of the team.
Our goal is to build mutual respect amongst all members of the Langdon family, to provide the training they need, and to offer regular and timely feedback to help them improve.
We want our Staff to feel empowered and to see the support they have to do their job and help our Members to the best of their ability.
Prioritise Staff Training
We will ensure all staff are able to participate in training including areas of mental health, autism and the impact of ageing.
Develop Leadership Training
We will set up a new leadership and management training programme to support staff on their own personal development journey.
Introduce Fair Rewards
We will pay Living Wage levels by April for our staff in Manchester and our goal will be to reach the London Living Wage for staff in London. Plus, we will ensure that good performance and long service is rewarded.
Improve Communication
We will improve our internal, and external comms, to ensure Members, staff and families feel fully informed, engaged and always supported.
Reinforce Equality & Diversity
We will create a specific EDI committee, made up of staff from across the organisation, to embrace diversity and develop a culture of learning, celebrating, and awareness raising, throughout the Langdon community.

Reaching out & partnerships
Kisharon and Langdon are merging. The newly formed charity, Kisharon Langdon, will offer a wider breadth of services of enhanced quality, enabling us to better support people with learning disabilities and autism and their families. The organisation remains dedicated to meeting unique religious and cultural needs, fostering an inclusive environment.
