opportunities By 2035 it is predicted there will be 480 additional people with learning disabilities across the community. An additional 19 supported living places will need to be provided, every year, for the next 25 years.

Now is the time to begin to make incremental changes that will allow Langdon to continue to support our Members today and in the future.

Over the next three years, we will develop the culture, training programmes, systems, and processes, to ensure we are able to improve the quality of the offering to our Members while we grow.

Slide We will meet current and future demand by working with commissioners to ensure financial sustainability, stability and growth. Through working together, we will design and deliver flexible, care packages and services which improve the quality-of-care for our Members. Commissioning of Social Care Enhanced Social Work We will enhance our social work capacity by improving our admission arrangements and reviewing our eligibility criteria. We will also ensure we have the skills to support people with a wider range of needs. Engagement with Jewish Culture We will continue to enhance the Jewish character of Langdon by improving our Jewish programming. We will also reach out, through our volunteering programme, to find volunteers who can help us enhance the Jewish life of our Members. Improved Housing We will work with social housing providers to find development opportunities to shift the balance towards more owned accommodation that is also adaptable and fit for purpose as Members’ age. Digital Transformation We will clearly articulate the individual capability of our Members, using digital technology such as IROC, to enhance their day-to-day decision-making.

Slide Livingness for Hadley is now having the ability to live independently which has given him the confidence to help with the cleaning and the cooking, and to make himself his favourite brew whenever he likes. However, like the rest of us, he would still like someone else to make his bed!

    Kisharon and Langdon are merging. The newly formed charity, Kisharon Langdon, will offer a wider breadth of services of enhanced quality, enabling us to better support people with learning disabilities and autism and their families. The organisation remains dedicated to meeting unique religious and cultural needs, fostering an inclusive environment.
