Langdon Staff Survey 2022
A key element of Langdon’s five year strategy is around staff engagement and wellbeing.
As part of this, Langdon commissioned an independent agency, Agenda Consulting to conduct a comprehensive survey of all staff in 2019. The results gave the charity the opportunity to work on a number of areas identified for improvement. Three years later, a second survey was conducted, asking the same questions as in 2019, so that results could be effectively compared.
The results were overwhelmingly positive and showed significant improvement against 2019 in all areas surveyed. Most notably, 88% of staff surveyed would recommend Langdon as a good place to work. Highlights of the survey included the way staff felt trusted to do their jobs, their confidence in reporting and responding to safeguarding matters and believing their colleagues support Members’ wellbeing in a caring and meaningful way. In fact, the results were so positive, that this year, Langdon became an Agenda Employee Engagement Award winner!
Chief Executive Neil Taylor said “Overall the results are very promising and demonstrate the significant progress we have made over the last three years. I hope it gives staff a sense of the great colleagues they work with and the great team they are part of. We know that we must never be complacent and there are still areas where we want to improve even further – we look forward to meeting these challenges over the next year”.
Claire Rayner, Registered Manager in Manchester said “Langdon gave me the opportunity to progress my career in a sector of work I love. I qualified in Level 5 in health and social care 4 years ago and was looking for an organisation to give me the opportunity for my next step. This led me to apply for the role as Service Manager at Langdon 3 years ago and I was successful. I was given the support to do my job well, and I then applied for the Registered Manager post 2 years later and was successful! Langdon are continually ensuring my knowledge is up to date and my management skills are always improving by ensuring I go on courses to enhance my knowledge and then implement my learning in our service.”
