New Chapters is growing fast and we need volunteers to support our bookselling social enterprise.

We are looking for volunteers to support a Langdon member who’s task is to find a value for books, sometimes rare books, post online, put into storage and help with shipping when sold. This role is 4 hours a week or more.

The volunteering involves working closely with Langdon members and staff, handling books and boxes is not essential. This role is for 4 hours a week or more.

We are looking for volunteers to join a new Buddy Program. The objectives of the program are:

• To support a Befriending relationship to increase confidence and self-esteem
• To help reduced isolation for some Langdon members
• To provide emotional support and improve emotional well-being

We are looking for Buddies who can commit to regular sessions on a 1:1 basis and who have the following attributes:

Reliable, patient, good listener, good communicator, non-judgemental and empathetic

This volunteering role is for 2 hours a week.

Langdon will provide a person-centred induction and training.

This internship is perfect for anyone looking to gain more experience in marketing, communications or experience within the charity sector.
