PROGRAMME & ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR (London) – FULL TIME

salary £23,000-£25,000

An opportunity has arisen in the London community team for a Programme & Engagement Coordinator. The successful candidate will occupy a unique position with the autonomy of planning a diverse, interesting and engaging activities programme. The post holder must also possess skills of diplomacy to be able to persuade reluctant members to participate in the planned activities and events, and equally important, to encourage staff and volunteers to support with activities, trips and community groups as required.

SUPPORTED LIVING TEAM LEADER (London)

Salary: £23,185 per annum

We are currently looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our supported living team. The role will be based in Edgware, however travel will be required between local properties.

You will lead a person-centred support team, encouraging and enabling members in a supported-living environment with various learning disabilities to live active and fulfilling lives, striving to reach their full potential within the local community.

BUDDY PROGRAMME – VOLUNTEERS

We are looking for volunteers to join a new Buddy Program. The objectives of the program are:

• To support a befriending relationship to increase confidence and self-esteem
• To help reduce isolation for some Langdon members
• To provide emotional support and improve emotional well-being

We are looking for Buddies who can commit to regular sessions on a 1:1 basis and who have the following attributes:

Reliable, patient, good listener, good communicator, non-judgemental and empathetic

This volunteering role is for 2 hours a week.

Langdon will provide a person-centred induction and training.

NEW CHAPTERS – VOLUNTEERS

New Chapters is growing fast and we need volunteers to support our bookselling social enterprise.

We are looking for volunteers to support a Langdon member who’s task is to find a value for books, sometimes rare books, post online, put into storage and help with shipping when sold. This role is 4 hours a week or more.

NEW CHAPTERS – DRIVER

New Chapters are inundated with offers of books and we are looking for a driver to volunteer to drive our van for collection from various locations. The volunteering involves working closely with Langdon members and staff, handling books and boxes is not essential. This role is for 4 hours a week or more.
