Anita is the story of a young girl with Down’s Syndrome who lives a happy, routine life in the once neighbourhood of Balvanera in Buenos Aires, being meticulously cared for by her mother.
One tragic morning in 1994, everything changes when Anita is left alone, confused and helpless after the nearby Argentine Israelite Mutual Association is bombed (the deadliest bombing in Argentina’s history).
This winner of 10 awards from major US Film Festivals has only ever been screened once in the UK at the 2010 UK Jewish Film Festival.
