DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION & SUPPORTED LIVING

This exciting opportunity combines the role of Principal of Langdon College together with overseeing our supported living service in Manchester (Langdon Community).

The Director of Education and Supported Living will be in charge of a budget with income of £3 million, 100 staff and a total of over 60 students and members living in 30 properties.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic leader with the commitment to drive and deliver improvements for Langdon College and provide strategic direction in developing our plans.

You will be ambitious, keen to make an impact and attracted by the challenges and rewards this position offers in equal measure. This is a fantastic opportunity to maximise the quality of life of a vulnerable group of students and members and equip them to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

VOLUNTEER – SOCIAL ACTIVITY

Are you available for a social activity with a Langdon resident? From a coffee, a walk, cooking, bowling or rock climbing! This is a wonderful opportunity for a 1:1 friendship and making a big difference in the life of a vulnerable adult.

VOLUNTEER – SUPPORT FOR READING AND WRITING

A Langdon member would like regular support with his reading and writing. He is a high functioning member, married and employed. A volunteering opportunity to help him improve his reading and writing skills.

VOLUNTEER – SUPPORT IN A PRIMARY SCHOOL

A volunteer is need to support a Langdon member who reads to children in a primary school. This is on Friday afternoons for 90 minutes, the member needs support in the class room as well as helping with arranging events.
